i 'm really far away....Germany!!!:)

the problem is.....

i play every day on the table but 5 bolts not fixed really into the rail,

because the bolts over screwd from the fitter at last time.
thread of screw/nut plate destroyed because the guy take to much pressure on the bolts
i have to cut the bolts!?
so what can i do after cutting the bolts!

i think i have to drill out the bolts !?is this possible?

and after this tapped through hole ?
is this all possible ?

i dont know!

thanxs in front!

If you are lucky...Get a breaker bar, or larger ratchet, and try to loosen them. If They are really stuck in there, you might be lucky and break the head off the bolt. If you can not break the head off the bolt, or the insert inside starts spinning, drill the head off the bolt using increasingly larger drill bits. Once the head is off, take the rail off, and start drilling the rest of the shaft of the bolt with a drill press untill the insert is clear. It will take a awile, and it is much better to use a drill press. This can be done, so like said before, do not panic. Take your time, and everything will work out alright. Good luck.

thanx to all!!!!!!

i will try my luck!!!!!!!

just one more question !!

i like to have new leather or standard original pockets for my gold crown 3
any adress?

thanx

Hi, I have a used GC-IV so I don't know if the same thing applies to your GC-III. I had a similar problem in that a couple of the nuts in the rails that I have were cracked/broken. After MUCH searching around on the internet I finally found some replacements for my table. Hope yours are the same. Grainger item number 4ZY15:

Grainger also seems to have a presence in Europe according to their website.

Also, as to how to remove the threaded inserts. Use a hex wrench for the ones that are still intact enough. For the ones that weren't intact and the head was broken off so I couldn't use a hex wrench, I just used the chewed up threaded studs that I had and glued/locktited them into the threaded inserts and unscrewed them once the locktite dried. Then I replaced the threaded studs with new ones (note Grainger is out of stock of these now but they are readily available elsewhere -- since I'm in the USA and we don't use metric all that much). Grainge item number 1HE77:

Edit: The above assumes that you've first removed all the nuts on the threaded studs (that go through the slate holes) and have lifted off the rails, skirts and pockets as one piece. Then flip the whole thing upside down so you have access to the bottom of the rails and the threaded inserts. Hope this helps.

Not sure if you realize, but what you posted IS NOT a rail bolt insert for any gold crown. I believe you have them confused with casting inserts or rail apron inserts. Also your iv does not have this type of casting insert.

My bad. I'm not a table mechanic. Just a guy with a table that tried to help.

FWIW, the "casting inserts" or "rail apron inserts" that I purchased worked perfectly as replacements on my table.
