Billiards
When it comes to billiards, we run the table. When Escalade acquired the assets of the iconic American Heritage Billiards brand in October 2020, it gave us a complete billiards and premium game room assortment. We already were the No. 1 market leader in billiard accessories, thanks to our acquisition of Cue & Case in 2014. Now, these two business lines, in combination, give Escalade a competitive edge in providing customers and consumers with the ultimate billards’ experience.

Fastest growing racket sport there is. This is good news. A co that owns firms in the same general fields buying B'wick is good.

I'm trying to find contact information on the company. I'd like to send them a letter to get back in the professional game. I only see investor contact info on their website, and product idea submissions.

I think Escalade's headquarters are very close to Diamond and the DCC. I wonder if they were interested in purchasing Diamond? (Pure guessing on my part...)

If that's even on their radar screen it will be a long-term plan. They're so far behind D'mond and even Rasson at the pro level it will take some time to get back in pro pool.

All they're buying is a assembly location/warehouse in Wisconsin and dealer network that really can't be worth a lot. KPS was probably glad to get rid of it. They paid 490mil for all of LifeFitness co's. just a little over 2yrs ago. Escalade may have been the only co. interested and they just decided to unload some baggage.

One year of sponsoring events and they'd be 100% back in the pro game. It doesn't take much in our sport.
In my part of the country rooms/bars are getting rid of their B'wicks and going total Diamond. I don't see that trend changing anytime soon if ever. All the younger players only want Diamonds. They don't know or care about B'wicks history/legacy. Unless they come out with a direct competitor of the ProAm they're dead in the water.

None of that is worth anything. It can be recreated anywhere. The name is the entire value. IMO.

For some comparison:

Warner Chappell has acquired publishing rights to all 26 David Bowie studio albums for about $250 million, sources told the Financial Times, pointing to the growth of rock music songbooks as an unusual but reliable asset class....
