Brunswick Super Speed vs MBS Championship?

I ordered a set of Brunswick Super Speed cushions from Pooldawg. Here's the photo from their site.

Instead Pooldawg shipped me these MBS Group Championship cushions. I'm returning these but curious if they are the same or lesser quality than the Brunswick.

I'm no mech. but i've known a few who used a lot of Championship cushions. They liked them and used them often. What table do you have?

I finally found the MBS K55's for sale. It looks like Pooldawg tried to pull the old switcharoo on me. I paid them $169.95 for Brunswick Super Speeds and they shipped me cheaper $86.95 MBS cushions. That won't fly.

Sure maybe a honest mistake but at $54 for 2nd day air and setting my project back at least a week that was annoying.
Yeah, that's the worst part is the delay. The $83 is nothing to laugh at but the delay and hassle is worth more. I hope you get your table back together quickly.

Even if they are the same product with different labels- I am not saying they are- that swap is unacceptable.

Definitely not the same product.
I use a lot of each.
From an installation perspective, the MBS are MUCH easier to install.
From a play perspective, I would challenge anyone to determine which is which. If anything, I might think that the MBS play just slightly springier, but there are so many variables, that it would be very difficult to make a quantifiable comparison.
I haven't been installing MBS long enough to understand how the life compares to Brunswick.

For what it's worth, when working on a Brunswick table, I almost always use Superspeeds, unless someone requests something different.
When working on pretty much any other table, I always use MBS, unless requested otherwise.

Much easier to install, details on that? Just curious, I'm recovering a Brunswick Ventura II so I'll be using the Brunswick cushions. Extending the rails to tighten the pockets. Maybe beef up the Ventura's sparse frame.

Also thank you for your many posts. I'm a total noob at table setup and recovering so I have been binge reading @bradsh98 and @realkingcobra posts for a couple weeks. Also picked up the rail/table cloth install videos from Seybert's for this project.

Superspeeds have mold flash along the top and bottom edges of the cushion. Prior to installation, it needs to be removed from at least the top side.. Some sand it, some cut it... Either way, it's time consuming and tedious. For what the cushions cost, they should not require any modification.

MBS cushions do not require any modification, prior to installation.

I see it, that's going to be 47 feet of trimming how annoying.

the ventura 11 is plenty strong enough unless you plan on abusing it. and its fun with the bigger pockets. you get to cheat them to play position. they still will not take balls hit badly.

I'd have no problem recommending MBS cushions for a GC or any other table. They're actually very good and faster than Superspeed IMO and I've never seen a set go bad.
I agree! Those were on my table when I got it and I thought they were faster and quieter than Superspeeds to.
