I had the pleasure of working on this beautiful old table. I got a call from a gentleman named Dick Shackleton who said he had an antique he wanted to move. When I arrived it was in a dingy basement with junk all over it. Wasn't sure which model table it was so I sent pictures to John Burns and Bob DeTurk. Both got back to me immediately and said BUY IT! Well I offered, but the table had been in this guys family since new and he wanted to keep it. I told him if the table was restored it would be worth a pretty penny. With out a second thought he said "Do It!" So with my partner Bob DeTurk, we set out on this adventure. The whole table was stripped by hand by Paul Davis of Paul Davis Restorations. All missing pieces were CNC'ed & reattached. The legs had been in water and were splitting so they were repaired by Paul too. New Rosewood veneer and Ivory diamonds were done, along with new cushions. The pockets were anodized and sent to Hood for new leather.
The great thing about this whole job was the owner donated the table to his flyfishing club, We went up to the Poconos and set it up. The guys in the clubhouse while we were working were great. They loved the table. I wish more customers were like Mr Shackleton. He said he wanted the table done right not done cheaply! Thanks to everyone who worked on this table. I really enjoyed it!

What a beautiful table! You guys do fantastic work.

Imagine the lives that table has touched over the years and the people (some not even be born yet) who will be a part of its future.

Very cool!

Thank you everyone for the kind words. Bob and I had a blast with this table. I can't wait to refinish another.

I would also like to thank John Burns for his work on the rails. John you really hit it out of the park with that Rosewood veneer!
