Old growth, at least 50 years since being harvested. Nice figure and a rare find.
This is the most sought after species of rosewoods and is, perhaps, the "Holy Grail" of cue woods. Highly prized for its beautiful grain, stability, tonal qualities and resonance—brings your cue building up to a new level of playability. Because of the 1991 CITES ban on exporting/importing BRW it is becoming harder and harder to find in cue size pieces.
