PPG. Just make sure you use plenty of protection gear and work in a well ventilated room or spray outside if the weather allows it.

It ruined and killed Varney fast .

It is easier to protect yourself from super glue than it is auto clear coats because of the drying time. But you are right that super glue and the accelerator are pretty toxic.

I agree with Joey. I have used auto clear for 29 years but with a quality mask, gloves, and a long sleeve shirt. You couldn't pay me to use CA to finish a cue. Others use it and like it. That's part of choosing what finish you want on your cue. Finally, Kim Walker had a Facebook video of him taking a claw hammer to his finish on a sample round. He uses 1618 epoxy under solarez. Pretty damn impressive.
