Ever since I read "Off the Rail" (looking for the sequel) Tony, and Bucktooth are modern pool warriors to me. I want to see the 'tooth in action, I dont want to play him, I dont want his autograph, just want to see the pool icon in action. He must frequent some ph or general area. So where can I witness the legend in action?

I could guess he will be around Sacramento next month when Hardtimes has the usppa tournament, the Open Pro tourny, a 1p tournament. It all starts the first week of June throught the 24th. I gurantee he will show up on and off quite a bit. He lives in the Oakland area which is not far away. Maybe even in San Jose next weekend for a USPPA warmup at California Billiard, I heard today some of the Fillipinos are there already from Vegas.
Have a pleasant flight.

hi cornfed,
I saw you one day in the back row of the VIP seats seated next to that gray haired, Ex pro tour player who also used to sell pool clothing, native of by area.infact one AZBer sitting next to our friend did not know how you look like.I showed him and told him who you were.
by the way you seem to be in good shape.cheers

Say what you want about the guy, but he doesn't sound so dumb to me.

I didn't read all the posts in this thread, but I don't think that anyone ever accused Bucktooth of being dumb.

BUCKTOOTH will be in VEGAS on the 28th he told me to let FAT BOY know tthis ONE MORE TIME, and to any other GREAT PLAYER that may be listening BECAUSE IS ALLWAYS ON TIME FOR A MATCH UNLESS THEY GIVE HIM THE WRONG DATE AND TIME.

If the TOOTH gets to the DCC I can hook him up with the OLD has been that never was.....

Keep in mind that he uses a wheelchair to scoot around and can only play for about an hour at a time.

All I can say is, for all those who don't know Rich (bucktooth) personally, he is genuinely a nice guy. I play with him in my local pool all in San Ramon, CA quite often. He's always been a gentleman and most people who do not know him will not see that side. Now, He woofs at players for a reason. Can anyone tell me the answer of this question. Why do we gamble? TO WIN right. His woofing annoys poeple to the point where either they just can't stand it and will leave or some idiot will play him to try to shut him up. It's that idiots fault for falling for it if you ask me. If someone is stupid enough to play in a match they can't win, they deserve to lose they're money. I'm not trying to kiss as or anything, but you've got to look at it from both perspectives. Yes his woofing maybe annoying but it's for a reason and does not reflect him personally. Anyhow, I just don't like people bashing others they do not know and wanted to shed some light on this subject.

Fatboy will be on a 14 hour flight on the 28th, and in Vegas on the 29th if there is a reawson to be, otherwise the 30th.

You must be referring to George Michaels. BTW, ran into Mark Moore up in Hattiesburg. Said he spoke with you, and that you were doing real well.

he is a very nice guy with his own style and i admire that, too bad(for him) i'm going to be the guy who retires him, but someone has to do the deed and that man is me, I wont bust him because he wont dig deep enough but if he thinks he can high roll me, LOL he hasnt a prayer, I remember once he told me press the bet high enough and they will all get rust in their arms-well Tooth lived by the sword and now he will die by the sword-he has never -ever came up against anyone like me, do I play better, no but I can out last him? easily, and that awalys gets the $$$. off the table he is good in my book and have no beef with him at all. Hope something happens, i need to get my back healthy.

One can only make judgements on the information they are given. So far, he comes across as the the guy who talks loud, was a "helluva player back in my day", uses ANY reason to get ridiculous spots, flashes cash to get the chase on, WILL NOT play unless it is no gamble at all on his end, and enjoys the attention of the whole spectacle. I do not know this person, therefore I am not passing judgement personally, just on the information I have gathered in the book, and here on AZ. There are people like this in every walk of life, so have your fun where you get it, Bucktooth. We all enjoy a good laugh sometimes. But.. not meaning to sound like an A#$, can someone tell me, in the last twenty years, someone of any caliber this fellow has knocked off "even." Not that I am Cliff, Johnny, or anyone near that, so don't take me in the wrong light. I would just like some examples of this living legend's exploitations. So....please enlighten me. How would he match with let's say...."little Tony." I know how Tony and I would play, and this would shed some light on how great he plays. If no info on "little Tony," how about Cliff Joyner? Any guesses on how you'd book him?

Bucktooth ask me to respond to this which is good for pool because someone is asking about matching up. IF you are relating to TONY CHOHAN Bucktooth played him 1 year ago in Sacramento Hardtimes before he had all the current health probelms. They played 2 times 8 to 4 and the breaks Tony one the first night. The next day Bucktooth won 3 games and Tony Quit he was playing his own money so Tony didn!t play as good. Bucktooth says Tony is one the best Gamblers in pool he will put his money and get in the BOX not just talk he is a true GAMBLER of the largest Magnatude. Bucktooth just played Archie even in VEGAS so one of you Handicapers make a game Bucktooth will play Cliff or Tony. Bucktooth said as long as he can stand up he will never refuse a FAIR GAME the big advantage someone has playing BUCKTOOTH he never Quits he plays for DAYS LONGER THAN ANYONE EVERYONE ALLWAYS QUITS I!M TIRED and there age is 22 to 27 years old Bucktooth is 3 times there age.

Did you say "I'm tired.?"

I was speaking of Tony Watson and Cliff Joyner. I have never seen Chohan play, although hearing of him. I love this third person character, by the way, Buck. I'm on the East Coast, and was actually thinking of coming out to a couple of the larger tourneys, after I do some research on which ones would be worthwhile. I play nowhere near Tony Chohan.

Either does BUCKFED;)

I can't remember what night, but I saw this guy with who I thought was Fast Larry.

They were both barking up a storm at the action tables. (They guy I thought) was Fast Larry was yelling at everyone about how they have no heart and to match up with him (at trick shots) he proceeded to set up a couple trick shots. He then picked up two cues between his thumb and index finger at the tip and challenged anyone in the room (at the top of his voice) to do more. He said if they did three, he would do 4.

Bucktooth was also barking at the whole room saying "I want to see some action" sombody match up...He was barking at select people about how if he played them they should just put the rack around their neck so it was handy...cause they were going to need it alot.

It seemed like everytime someone approached him to match up neither would...

OH.....Ronnie Allen was running around barking at people trying to get a game....every time he had anything close to a game he then was trying to get someone to stake him...

As I was standing there a guy next to me mentioned that they were in their the night before doing the same thing and that a young Phillipino kid walked up with about 1k or 2k cash in hand and offerd a game...Apparantley Bucktooth declined.....(of course that is unconfirmed rumor)

It was kind of comical to watch, but to me it really only seemed like they were just trying to be the center of attention in the room....I did not feel like they were really interested in matching up.

Bucktooth seemed like a fairly normal guy that just liked to Bark....The guy I think was Fast Larry was pretty much a goofball.

Bucktooth will be in Vegas next week anybody wants to play EVEN. HE will make it apoint to come by the Rivearia, come on this game is played all thru the south.
