Buddy Hall Instructional "Chalk Off"

I haven't watched all of these clips, but the ones I did watch were lifted from the nine ball instructional tape that Buddy made for Accu-Stats a long time ago. I would assume this is copyrighted material. I wonder if Buddy and Pat Fleming know these were on YouTube...

Thanks for the post! These will help some of the members of my pool team (and me).

I am constantly amazed at how easy Buddy makes it look. I never get tired of watching these, and I have watched them many times.

Thanks for the posts, very informative.

P.S. I don't see any "you tube" links....

I got them off youtube, converted the format, and put them all together to make the viewing easier for everyone.

Buddy is so smooth. I like the way he explains how he does it and what he expects as results.

Are all of his videos the same way?

Well hurry and run to tell the teacher Mr. Hall monitor......

I don't think that comment was warranted. David Hodges, the inventer of Quick-Clean, has complained several times on this board about the guy marketing "Chalk-Off" robbing him. The way that those videos are presented kind of implies that Buddy is endorsing "Chalk-Off". I was just speculating on whether or not this is the case. All those clips where Buddy is wearing the blue shirt are lifted from the Accu-Stats tape, which is probably 10 years old. Is there any new footage shot where Buddy actually mentions the product? If not, that leads me to think that this guy might be making unauthorized use of the material. I don't know, maybe Pat gave him the OK. Somehow I doubt it.

I have to admit I do have trouble understanding why people think it's OK to steal somebody else's intellectual property, or that being born somehow entitles you to free music, or it's not stealing if you are taking it from a big enough corporation. I guess you could call that last one the "Robin Hood Syndrome" That doesn't make it any less wrong.

I hear people bemoaning the state of the billiard industry all the time. Wanna help a couple people in the billiard industry? Call Pat and pony up the $20 for a tape.

Well, I wonder who payed who?

I would bet that Chalkoff payed to have these inserted in the accu-stats tapes.

And if that is the case, who do they belong to, Chalkoff or accu-stats?

If they belong to Chalkoff, then I would bet they not only don't mind the posting of these, I bet they "love" it.

Yes...Buddy is a great mentor to so many. He is one of the "biggest" superstars in the game. I'm just worried about this long-term health.

He has such a huge appetite for competing, and for all-you-can-eat buffets. Winning the US Open at 50 is a great accomplishment, but a 50-inch waistline should be another one of his goals.

True enough. I was thinking that nobody got paid at all. But I seem to remember that this "Chalk-Off" guy had something to do with BCN, so maybe he did it with Pat's blessing.
