Buddy Hall vs. Johnny Archer video

very nice

Thanks for this link....I am surprised at the misses by both of these champions......isn't it kind of unusual to see so many?

You make a good point.

The way i see it, every once in a while there is one person out of the 2 persons playing against each others who is having a very bad game and on even rarer occasions, both of the opponents are having a bad game and that is very rare but i have seen it happen a few times.

Well boys you should take into consideration Buddy's age and with all of that said it is nice to see "The Greastest Nine Ball Player EVER" still competing against people 1/2 his age!

Yes buddy is a very good player...

I hope he doesn't have a heart attack, he's not in a good physical shape.

Although the pockets were forgiving, I mean come on guys, these guys were playing great, I mean world class here. Think about it you see somebody in a pool hall make one of those run outs next to you, you would be very impressed let alone to do it consistently. Very easy to critique, yet very hard to do.

I would honestly not have been impressed if I had seen those "run-outs" next to me on a table at Hard Times. They were having an off day it seems, the both of them. There were some misses that were half diamond off and some made shots that rattled in on the big pockets.

I was surprised to see Archer miss so many times. What kept him in the match were lucky rolls after a miss and pretty good safties at times. Did anyone notice how many times he switched gloves? I think at least three.

Am I the only person here that doesn't care for propoolvideo.com videos? For me, they represent the most boring part of watching pool on TV: watching balls go into pockets. I just don't care if the ball goes in or not. I like to watch players get shape, watch them take practice strokes, watch them think (hmmm, not usually in that order;). I don't like seeing balls going into pockets though. Its like watching golf on TV, and all you get to see is the final close put shot, without seeing the player. Just a ball going in a hole.

I do appreciate that there is someone out there doing this type of work, but for me I can't get into the matches I see on that site.

I think you are thinking of something else. This tournament was at pro-billiards in Orlando Florida.

I like ProPool Video a lot; it sure beats listening to a lot of crappy commentary........the visuals are very good and it's almost like you're there at the pool hall watching.....

totally agree

the visuals are great, and it's much better than listening to the moron twins try to commentate(Mitch Laurence, and mister predicting the runout with two balls left Allen Hopkins)
