bump on linen wrap

Got a little bump/knock on one of my cues (linen wrap). I bumped the edge of the table with the wrap. It's just enough to bug me when I'm holding the cue. Any recommendations on how to smooth it out?

Jed, sand the area with a little 1000 grit sand paper. Then use a spray starch on the area and rub it with a glass or a bottle vigorously.

The best approach is to just take it to a cue repairman, and have him repress it.
