I love your city! It's the cleanest, most orderly city, of it's size anywhere! It's a great place to visit! Maybe I'll stay at the Raffles Hotel again! Where the Singapore Sling was invented and several old movies were made!

The river is the one gross thing in Singapore, definately NOT clean. Plus one thing that REALLY irks me is they leveled all the hills in the area but one (where the WW2 fortifications still exist and alot of pre-historic archaeology). Also with all the land reclimation they caused alot of the most historica areas of Singapore that were originally on the ocean to now be kilometers away from it, destroying alot of the old charm, including the Raffles Hotel.

It is a place I would be extremely interested in visiting 100 or so years before now if a time machine existed. It would be a very different environment.

Erm need to update u on our Rivers....hehe....It squeaky clean now since the 80s, and we held a couple of Wakeboard Championships on these rivers since then .

Cleaniness is an obsession here... nowhere else u get fine S$500 for not flushing, and for eating chewing gum..

U r right bout the reclaimation though..No choice, its only 47km wide, and we needed to expand....We reclaimed so much, our coastlines are straight... Now if u look from above the skies, Singapore look like a cut diamond.

One thing about the charm of Singapore u cant find anywhere else...
Where else in the world u can find a Synagogue, Chinese and Hindu Temple, a Mosque, a Church, a pool hall running side by side on the same street?
