I kind of think he might be the best ever, even above Efren. He was still winning the MOT at DCC right before he was kicked out of the country for 5 years. Now at 61 he is still a threat to win any event.
How good was Buddy, Varner, Sigel, Efren, Parica, Earl at 61? I think there are two keys to playing top level pool into old age: 1 is how good you were when you were younger. Two is how well your health held up. Other than Hall, the other's on this list all seemed to have good health into their senior years.
If Busty does indeed play better than the rest of the pro's when comparing age 61 across the board, I'd say that means he had a higher gear in his prime.
