Butt of your Cue

An important thing about gripping the cue is where on the pool cue you actually hold the cue. If you hold the cue too far back near to the bottom, you won't have total control on your cue, similarly holding the snooker cue too far away from the bottom also devastates your cue action. You should grip the cue just 2-3 inches up from the butt.

I'm going to disagree here. You grip the cue relative to the length of your arms and the length of your bridge. There is no universal distance from the wrap that everyone should choose.

An important thing about posting on AzB is knowing what you are talking about.

Where you hold your cue affects everything, but to say you won't have total control of your cue is something someone blowing smoke out their wazoo would say.

You are correct!
