Buy Revo shaft now for breaking or wait for predator BK4 with revo shaft

I'm pretty sure people saying BK4 were just assuming that Predator would just stay with the numerical sequence and call it a BK4. I'm pretty sure the BKRush is all that's coming out now.

That's alot of things you're pretty sure on, and I'm pretty sure you're right!

Yes, Seyberts had them for sale starting this past Tuesday. Mine just got delivered 15 minutes ago. Cant wait to break some racks at league tonight.

I am not sure if I should buy a revo shaft now for breaking or wait 1 year for predator to release their new BK4 with a revo shaft?
I went back to playing with my old McDermott D-1 and so I'm using my ex player as a breaker. I may wait a couple years and get the BK5, it's sure to be better than the BK4. I have the patience of a buzzard so I might wait for the BK6 or BK7. Best of luck to you!

Why would it? I break with my Revo shafts, and have for over a year with no problems.

I think Predator is aiming a little higher than "no problems". The new shaft is indeed different. In a variety of ways. I've broke with a standard 12.9 Revo with Samsara tip on a BK1 butt, and its great. The BK Rush was better however. Not by a mile, but enough to notice.

Question for you Scott, I have a two Revo Shafts 12.9mm and love the way it plays. I use a Kamikaze Soft tip on both (my favorite tip) Do you think breaking will make the tips harder... Heck, this may be a better question for Kamikaze....

Without question. All shots make all tips harder. Breaking will just do it faster.

I would personally never want to break with the same cue I play with for a variety of reasons, this being among the most important.

Any one know if the hybrid tip on the BK Rush Revo shaft will be made available for purchase so it can be installed on regular Revo shafts?

Does anyone know if they make a Revo shaft to fit a Schon cue? 5/16 X 14
