I'm with you on shoes. I have so many pairs of Nike shoes that I can't tell you how many I have. I started collecting Air Max 95's in all colors and my collection has grown from there.

Rusty, this guy you are helping is a PERFECT candidate for some pool shoes....maybe send him to the Finish Line or somewhere, have him ask them to hook him up with some sweet pool shoes

I agree with the many posters here when they say, let him buy the nice expensive equipment.

1, it does help out the economy
2, it may instill in him more confidence, which may or may not improve his game in itself.

I recently went out and finally purchased my first set of nice golf clubs. All Callaway irons with a Callaway Diablo driver and Callaway Diablo 5 wood.

I still suck really bad at golf, but with the way I dress and the new clubs, I sure look like I shoot a good game. That might instill fear in the opponent.

There is a huge difference between golf clubs and cuesticks, tho. Correct me it I am mistaken, but golf clubs get updated every year, thereby rendering last years used equipment with little resale value. A Southwest is going to have resale value for the foreseeable future.

No correction needed here. Resale value on golf clubs is a joke. I was terrible about running out an buying the newest and supposedly the best golf clubs. Lost my ass on every used one I sold. A quality cue if taken care of properly can be a good investment.
