Hey everyone, first thanks for taking time who reads this thread. I'm a beginner pool player and found a second hand meucci. The cue is listed here as "E-5" http://www.budgetcues.com/archive/meucci-european-series.htm
seller valued it 200 dollars. im wondering is it good for this cue? the biggest problem is, im from Turkey and nearly there is no shops selling pool cues. We have very good carom players but there is such less people to ask questions about pool. So i have to get my ass kicked by expreinced carom players who cant position properly :/ anyways, a guy from billiards hall where im playing helps me out about basics. he found seller of this cue and took for me to show me. A cuemaker checked the cue out, so im sure its in good condition. Btw of course it has a pre-dot shaft. I really liked the cue, i liked the hit. it feels very good. So do you think is it a good deal?

if you like it that much then get it. But for $200 bucks you can get a brand new Joss shipped to you, or a Rat Cue (az member and cue guy at Meuller recreational products)

I suggest going to www.poolndarts.com (meullers site) for rat cue
(great bang for $)

or pooldawg.com for a joss (just a few $$ more than the rat cues but great players)

ask anyone around the site and they will tell you both of these are better players than a meucci. Better construction and everything.

best wishes,

The E series (European series) are very basic cues and go for about $125 used here if they are in excellent shape. Sure, it's a good beginner's basic pool cue.

$200 would be too much here, but maybe the market is different in Turkey. I agree with Greyghost that the Joss cue would likely be a little more durable.

thanks for replies. 200$ is my up-limit. if i buy, ill have a payment plan. I am not sure about getting a cue shipped abroad. I said im from Turkey, and i dont know what could happen in duty :/ there is a pool shop, selling poison vx's for 200 euros! So if this cue goes 125$ max, ill ask for lowerin the price. and in future maybe ill buy a black dot for it? i like the colour, i felt good when i hold it? i cant buy something without seeing it. If i lived in states there are very choices, but...

There is about 100% price difference between states and my country, if we handle brand new cues. So it looks like good deal, cuz i have to pay nearly double the price lol. ill try bargaining. Unluckily, there are so much carom supplies and even cuemakers. but this cuemakers only build low quality. i was using a local made provided by my pool hall. this meucci gonna be my first cue. thank you all for replies.
