buying cues

hey guys, just dropping by for a quick question. It's probably a stupid one but i'll ask anyway lol.

planning on buying a cue as the old ones that came with the table are just absolutely shit.

now my question is, every cue i look at buying online only shows the bottom half in the pictures. so if i go and buy it, am i only expecting the bottom half or will i get the complete cue.

if it's just the bottom half, how do i go about buying the top half

sorry if it's an obvious question just want to be sure before i consider purchasing a cue from anywhere.
 
If you are buying from an online dealer or anyone else for that matter, you get both the butt and at least one shaft in the deal.

If by chance you are looking at a used cue, sometimes the seller is using an after market shaft with it, such as a Predator or an OB 1 and sometimes they prefer to keep their playing shaft. In those cases, they will tell you that you are just buying the butt, and then it is up to you to purchase an after market shaft of your own.
 
ahh okay thanks for that. I was looking through online resellers, as I have had dodgy experiences with buying 2nd hand's of people unfortunately.
