Buying unchalked leather cue tips

I was wondering if it was possible to buy some of the well known cue tips in bulk all at once rather than having to buy 3 or 4 at a time, as it would cost me less when having to replace tips.

P.S

The reason I ask this is because some tips can only be bought 1 at a time and they cost £12 ($24) per tip. Any help is appreciated.
 
Absolutely... What tips are you looking for to buy in bulk, and what are you paying $24usd for????
 
1proscoe the tips I want to buy are moori's and those are the one's that you pay $24 for 1 here in the u.k.
 
I bought a box (12) of Sniper tips for 84.95 from CueComponents.com.

That's an expensive tip when sold separately, but I got 'em for about $7 a piece.

Still sounds expensive to me... ~$35 for a box of 50 Triangles is only ~70 cents a piece!

You get what you pay for. At 35.00 a box, Triangles are still over priced.

I can get those for next to nothing anyways. I would rather play with a Sniper, but for the money, Triangles are the best value I agree. I'll still pay $7 a piece for a Sniper any day.

I'm not sure Triangles are a better value than their layered counterparts. It costs about twice as much to have a layered tip installed instead of a Triangle. But, layered tips tend to last longer. If the layered tip lasts twice as long, the the actual cost over time is about the same.

Not everyone prefers layered tips, and there are valid reasons for that. I don't buy the idea single layer tips are cheaper however, unless one does his own tips and does not consider the value of his time.

Days? Months? Years? Certain number of hours playing?

I use a moori M now, and I can tell you that 10 of them would last me a longgggggggg time. Lately I get in 1 or 2 nights of shooting a week. Couple of months ago I was averaging 3 nights a week. Using the same tip for (I think) the last 5-7 months and it looks fine.

Am I not changing my tip often enough? Or are you guys crazy for spending the money on new tips that often?

I've gone through probably 10 tips (snipers, moori's) in the past year.... Each one of these tips will last in excess of 6mo, not to mention I have them cut down when installed.

I've also bought/sold about 10 cues in the past year, each having 2 shafts. I replace tips on cues as I get them.
