Buying wood from Oversea's

East Indian rosewood burls, Tamarind, Coffee Burls, Madagg- Ebony, Beeswing Narra Black Palm, Burma Blackwood, Dot/ Dalmation Ebony, Rengas Tiger. I understand Kiln dried is the best but waxed or Air-dried is all a guy can get from some simple sources. Just like buying from Hawaii- they want you to buy more than 1 log( Koa's (Curly Koa's from all the island's because its different. I have an opportunity to have wood sent directly to me.


question which of these would be worth using? I'm thinking boards (not burls obviously ) just so I can cut the better pieces out!!! 2"by 10"by 8' Thanks in advance for the help and suggestions! I have seen some wood at the guitar maker( that are so so bad!! and Piano wood is the nutz too. The Newest Kanaka creek shafts- will be from Piano - Maple. Koa from the Islands is nice. I do believe that one of the cue makers here invented Koa.

Aren't they any sawyers in Minnesota that could kiln dry any lumber that you might get?
