Has any one tried the BSI IC-GEL or the 3M scotch-weld SI Gel for installing tips? how well it holds or takes to dry, Thanks

It looks like about a lot of repair people use loctite control gel or another loctite gel.

Get it at Lowes.

been using the loctite ultra gel in the black bottle, but just checking on different ca's

As a reminder: Loctite prints a lot number on the bottom of each bottle which gives the date of manufacture. That date code can be decoded as:

YDDDxx

Where Y = the last digit of the year: 1 = 2011 2 = 2012, etc

DDD is the sequential day of the year: 30 = 30 January, 40 = 9 February, etc

Freshness matters!
