Disclaimer this is not pro tournament its local/ regional

Player tells TD before Calcutta he his on call for work so possibility he may have to leave at any point and to make that known at Calcutta so people had that info before bidding

This player is doing favorites to go deep

Player steps out on work call during Calcutta
TD doesn't put him in the Calcutta at all sats didn't want to deal with it

What's right or regular in this ?

I think player was right in making that known as to not oiss people off if he forfeits
But don't think he should of been left out altogether

Let buyers make own choice

Experiences !!?

Out for sure. Sounds like a move to me or the player thinks he's the whole tournament. Johnnyt

Auction him off like everybody else and make his circumstances known to the bidders. Whoever buys him should be made aware beforehand and deal with the package consequences of their purchase. It would be the same situation if anyone else had to leave early.

Yep. You have to leave him out. Otherwise, he's gonna go MUCH cheaper in an auction, and he's gonna be able to buy half of himself for pretty cheap. Soon, everyone pulls this "move" to reduce their Calcutta costs.

If you might have to leave, then why would you want to be in the Calcutta and possibly screw someone over....
