yeah I play at the cue club on the weekends when I am in town used to play there all the time a few years ago when I lived in the city I lived like 10 blocks from there so I spent almost every day in there
I could not say I am your caliber but I can hold my own. I am always wearing my Gold (you will see) sunglasses and usually am on 46. I am just glad the place re-opened.
Great now I am racking my brain trying to picture people playing on that table, when ever I am there I am usually up front on 33-35, cant miss me either I'm 6'5" and about 350 I stick out in a crowd LOL
Yup those are the gallery tables. I don't play there ofter unless im playing Jay S. or something. If yourwho I think you are your apretty good shot. ICan run a rack 1 out of 3 or four in nine ball depending on the break. I never ask for a spot as I dont mind losing to a better player. However I am not much for gambling big either unless on the bar boxes where you can hide your game better. Sean
Basically the same club. $5.00 during day and 7.50 after 6:00pm. Very limited menu now and bad hours. 12:00-12:00am weekend 2:00am. Poor service and owners who like to say they own the place but not RUN if you know what I mean. Too bad because its one of the better rooms in town. Where are you now jer9ball?
Yeah the menu is bad but hey atleast its open again. Hey Jer9ball how long ago did you play at the Q club? who did you play with I have a feeling I know you from there
Now I live in Ottawa. When I was in Edmonton, I played with Rosario's Fish in walmac. Used to play with Brian H, Rob P, Dion S, Scott S, Jay W, Mike Y, ...
To answer your question about Fred, he had the club seized by the landlord for non-payment of rent...he was about 27k in arrears when the club closed and was subsequently sold to a group of locals. The place is very much the same as it was before with the same railbirds and players most afternoons and evenings. Rob, Scott and the rest of the fish are still regulars, but none of them are playing Wal-Mac this year....I joined them last year and we did fairly well in Vegas before running into two teams that just didn't miss. Either way, I'll let them know you're trolling around in here...maybe they'll post sometime.
I knew I knew you, This is Jerry W Ya know the big guy who was always in the q club, spent time gambling ( cards, flips for drinks) with Dion ,Scott, Kevin Brian and Andrew. we played a few sets during and before a few tourneys.
I heard Earl Strickland, Jeremy Jones and Johhny Archer are going to play in this tournament.I also heard that local pros John Horsfall and Paul Potier and a few other lesser known local pros are attending.I sure with the purse that there will be other great players attending. Please note that is just what I heard(semi reliable source) and I cannot definitly verify it.
Entry fee is based on 128 entrants at $200 each($250.00 late entry fee). First prize is $15,000 and an expected $45,000 in total prize money with some money added. This is true because I seen the advertisment poster in our pool hall.RJ
Hey Loco! Spindoctor! Been a couple years since I saw you guys. Pool scene here is crap, but at least Montreal and Toronto aren't very far away. Resurect the FISH. I still have my outfit hanging in the closet. Ha ha ha. I can't believe we didn't win best uniform in vegas.
Ýup, played walmac this year and won a trip in premier for winning the wildcard at the year end tourney. Too bad noone is going. Only two of us wanted to go. A shame to be sure as last year was a blast. Where are you now jer?
