California Pool Schools are back on for January!

Thanks Joe...Happy New Year to you too. I suspect that you're headed to the DCC pretty quickly. I'm jealous...but, gotta work! Right now, I'm snowed in near the summit of Donner Pass, and can't get in or out (headed for Sacramento). Have fun in the AzB room!

Looks like you won't be at the Derby ey Scott? That is unacceptable ;) Happy New Year my friend!

Day One of the San Ramon Pool School is complete, and all our students have gone home, or returned to their motels for the evening, after being inundated with lots of new information about themselves! I am looking forward to Day Two, and our instructors helping their students to reinforce their new templates, and shooting processes!

Coming from two students in the San Ramon "Pool School" right now...

What an experience! We are having lots of fun learning about ourselves and the way we play this game! The instructors are very helpful and giving us all the attention we were hoping for!

"Pool School" is very little like I thought it would be, and everything I hoped it would be! I feel like a better all around player already, and I haven't even come close to mastering day one's lessons!

I could not sleep last night anticipating school today, and I don't see sleeping getting much easier tonight!

Bring on day two!!!

Day two is complete! Today was a longer day and it flew by! Our eyes, minds, and arms are beat! Saying that there is "noticeable" improvement in our games would be an understatement! It is difficult letting go of what we thought we knew and adopting what we now know, but with practice I can see how our games are going to jump, not hop... JUMP!

Day 3, the finale day, is tomorrow and I can't wait to see what is in store for us next! (Of-course I can jump ahead in the book, but thats not quite the same...)

Well, Day Three is complete, and all of our San Ramon students were VERY happy and satisfied with what they learned over the 3-day course. The video analysis is the real kicker, and it's so gratifying to visually SEE the improvement happen right in front of your eyes, as the weekend progresses.
We had three great instructors, and everyone got a lot of one-on-one attention.

Now it's time for me to head south, and prepare for next weekend's pool school...at Blue Dolphin Billiards, in Dana Point. I still have a couple of slots open for this school. PM me if you're interested.

I had the pleasure of working with a couple of AzBr's in Dinuba, CA today. Great students who really paid attention! I'll be watching for their progress reports. Tomorrow I head for Los Angeles. Still room in the Dana Point pool school.

Pool School Bump

Pool School is not for everyone. It is not for the pool player who already knows it all. It is for the pool player that wants to be better than they are and they want a method for real improvement and evaluation of their pool skills. At least that is what I learned from the San Ramon school. 3 days of nothing but covering information that will guarantee to improve your game. This was the best money I will ever spend on anything instructional for pool.
Thanks Scott

Every player, yes, EVERY PLAYER can improve on something! No-one "knows it all"! That is one thing that separates the best from the rest! The best know they can improve more and can learn something new every day!!! That "something" may be small, or it may be huge! I have never heard of a player, from any time period who doesn't miss! Everyone misses sometimes! Breaks dry sometimes! Miscues sometimes! Misses Shape Sometimes!

Pool school is about you! It is a journey about yourself and improving your game! No matter what skill level! I highly recommend pool school to beginners, amateurs, and pros alike!

If ignorance is bliss, I personally got to witness lots of bliss over the past week!

Thank you Scott, Tom, and Lynn! You'll be seeing myself and Joy in many winners circles in the future thanks to your efforts and our diligent practice!

Anyone who thinks they know it all, please make it to my neighborhood, and I'm sure we can make a game!

Mike...It was a pleasure having you in school last weekend! You came to school with both your eyes and ears open. You had goals, and together we helped you to achieve those goals...or at least to leave with the tools to get there (and the diagnostic tools to tell how to fix something, when it doesn't work correctly). It's true...pool school will be helpful to ANYONE, as long as they come with an open mind!

Scott...We really enjoyed working with you and Joy last weekend. The changes that all of us (including you both) could see were dramatic. Of course the real work is now in front of you...ingraining the knowledge you got at school, to make it your own! It's very true that, especially after you have acquired some skill, changes can be small. That said, small changes result in big gains for many players...most notably in the mental side of the game! I look forward to charting your success!

For those still interested, I still have room in the Dana Point school. However, it starts tomorrow, and you can't just "show up". If there is anyone who wishes to participate, PM me, email me, or call me.
