We are looking into starting The Delmarva Barbox Tour and this tour is amateurs only. The tour is hoping to expand all over Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. This is a thread to try to see how much interest there would be with our local players, so please respond to the post with all questions, concerns and praises. If you are a establishment with a minimum of 5 barboxes and are interested in hosting a monthly event please let us know. When and where is the first tourney? What will the entry fee and payout structure look like? How often will they occur, weekly, monthly?

Give me something to spread the word about

We are shooting for September for our first tournament, location to be determined very soon. There will be a 25$ yearly membership fee to join the tour and the membership will give you discounts from our sponsors. Everything is still being ironed out with the tournament dues and the payouts will be determined by the size of the tournament. There will be cash payout as well as trophies for 1ST thru 3RD.
The Tournaments will be monthly and then there will be a round robin tournament for our top 10 tour points leaders at the end of the season. The season will depend on how many bars we can get to participate. Hope I answered all your questions I could with the info I have. I will post more info as soon as I receive it. Thanks for your help with spreading the word!
 
Sounds very intriguing. I would possibly be up for for this and will spread the word here on the Mid-shore.

We now have 4 possibly 5 bars that are willing to host tournaments. ranging from ocean city, md to new castle, de and still working on more. We are working on locking down our first date and location and as soon as we know it will be posted. Please share this thread on facebook and with your friends and family.

Membership (includes all green fees) $25 for entire season

• Top female will be paid $25, if three or more play. The more females that play, the higher the payout!
• Calcutta $5 minimum

Break contest
9 ball rack – each person gets to attempt to break 3x. A combination of the ball pocketed will be added up for a final score. Whoever has the most balls pocketed as a final score, wins the pot. Each person is allowed one chance per tournament. Tickets are $3 a piece. Ten numbers will be drawn per tournament.

looking for any md bars

we are looking for some maryland bars willing to host an event in april or may time frame must have 4 or more bar boxes. so far we have 10 shooters pre registered. and 9 months worth of play. we got two nice sponsors and a lot of backup now. looking to expand our territory . so if you all know any or is interested please email us at delmarvabarboxtour@gmail.com or visit our site delmarvabarboxtour.webs.com
 
Have you talked to John Moody Sr. at Great Slates in Cambridge? He has hosted events in the past. He has a nice room with I think about 10 bar boxes. Worth a shot.
