Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum and would like to thank you for having me. I recently pruchased a 7ft Fischer coin op table from an elderly woman in Raleigh, NC. She claimed to have had the table 42 years. She and her husband originally purchased the table out of a bar in Ohio and were told it was old when they bought it. The patent dates on the coin op mechanism are dated in the mid 1930's. Can anyone tell me more about this table? This is my first table and I'm at very best a novice.

My plans for it:
New Championship Invitational Felt w/ Teflon. Good?
Resurface the sides and legs
New bumpers---need adivice---

Thanks!
Walt

Welcome Walt

I have absolutely no valuable input on your table other than that's got to be the nicest looking 7ft table Ive seen (besides a Diamond) I suggest you post your ques. in the "Ask a Mechanics" section of the forum. Welcome to AZ and Im sure you'll have answers quickly as there are a number of knowledgeable folks here (just not me!)

The cushions are going to have to be "for" that table, because they are 1 piece, cushion and wood behind the cushion, the rails are held from screws coming in from the back of the rails into the wood backing. So, the cushions are going to need to be the correct profile, and the screw holes will need to line up and be the correct thread as well. The cloth you chose is fine.

Like the poster above said. Post this in the Mechanic's Forum also. Someone over there will know something about that brand table. Welcome to AZ Forums and good luck with your table. Johnnyt
