I may be wrong in my sleepless induced state of mind but isn't the torque for most tables rails roughly between 16-22lbs? Anything higher than that and you start running into the damage parts. Especially on the import tables. And as far as the recessed plates, How much can you tighten them anyway? They're generally held on with short screws, which wouldn't allow much for a torque factor regardless of the method..
I tend to do everything by hand, and leave the drills in the truck, although I have them when I need them.
With all of the Alchoholic stoned wannabe's in the business, I think everyone has spent time running down the repair list, following them around. Just this weekend I did a refelt on a table that never even got the legs bolted. Just sitting in the brackets. And 5 total slate screws. Two broken.
So pardon me if I seem a bit cynical these days when discussing the work of hacks.
And for the record, yes, I did think of you guys when I saw it, and yes I took pictures. Especially of the cracked slates.....
And a voice that sounded remarkably like Jeff Foxworthy saying into my ear ..." ya'll aint gonna b'lieve this....."
And wishing this table was about three hours closer to Donny....!lol
