Cam to record pool

I have TV and VCR setup,(along with a mediagate media player) in my pool room.

Now would like to get a video camera to view\record the sessions.

If you have a camera setup which one do you use and what angle or
placement do you have it at?

Is more than 1 camera advisable\doable?

I am a spazz (lol) and I know I will cringe seeing myself on the video but I think it will help my game.

thanks

You might want to talk to jcin on here. He is one of the owners of The Action Report. I am sure that he can tell what you need to get and most info on recordings.

Thanks Patrick for the great idea. I'll ping him on it

Does anyone else have a video camera\webcam at home they use?

thanks

I do but it sucks in low light. I would make sure you get good combo that works in low light and good light situations

I use a Canon HG10. It does High Definition and records to its own hard disk, no more tapes! It holds as much as 5 hours of video, in HD. I transfer only the clips I want to a Mac, using iMovie08 software (free). Works great.

Check the angle of my pool videos at this YouTube link. There's about 70 pool videos up there now.

I zoom down tight on the table so there's very little FastMikie in the videos. It's all about the shots anyway, not me.

Let me know if there's anything I can help with.

Good point, I didnt think of the low light issue.

Good looking vids there FastMikie.

I love the cross bank 11 on your st8 pool vide. Nice!

Thanks, SloRoller... I had never seen that shot before, but when my back was up against the wall and I needed a shot, that 11 was looking so fat I couldn't resist trying it. Magical, I tell ya... shots like that is what keeps us (me, anyway) coming back to the table!

All the best,

M.
