Can a warped cue butt be fixed?

I have 2 cues that have developed a warp in the joint and butt areas. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Depends where the warp is. If it's a wrapped cue, the handle is easily replaced, which can make a big difference. If it's the forearm that's warped, it will likely not be cost effective to fix. If it's warped at the joint, it's possible it might just need to be re-faced.

Howdy All;

I'd like to ask how do the warps occur? Improperly seasoned wood? Method
of storage? How does that happen?
Thanks for your thoughts.

Wood is a naturally porous material engineered by nature to transfer water from the root system to its leaves. Even with a finish on it, you'll never be able to make it impervious to moisture changes relative to the environment. That's a good basis of fact to start to apply logic to your questions.

I wish I knew. From what I have seen, wood goes where it wants to. Grain and moisture play a big part, but some woods are much more stable than others even with the same species. Probably has a lot to do with the way it got cut, and how it dries out.
