Can anyone help/advise on my Brunswick Gold Crown 9??

Hi guys... Newbie here and I'm hoping the pro/vets in the know, would be willing to help me. We bought a completely refurbished gold crown 9' about 20+ years ago and has had very little use over those years (still looks new IMO).

We're moving from Knoxville TN area to AZ and I can't take this badboy with (sad face emoji!). But (and here's my problem!), I have NOOOOO clue what it's worth in order to sell it fairly for both sides,

Anyone know roughly what a Gold Crown II in mint-ish condition should sell for?? Any help would be appreciated! TY!

Always the issue with finding 9 foot residential table buyers , especially in a non booming billiard era; is the small market of willing buyers who have available room at home for that table and available cash to buy it and install it.
See if there are any private billiard clubs in your locale - these are springing up as small members only billiard rooms and your table could fit into their plans. Use local marketing outlets like Craigslist, etc. price? I think ask somewhere in the $6 to $8 K range as a start and see where you go from there- probably down unless you get that one or two looking locally for just what you offer.
9 years ago I left a nice Gold Crown 4 in my home for the home buyer at no cost - I just did not want to bother with that whole sales and table removal process and he was not into pool enough to pay for it. I remember during the big pool revival late 80s into early 90s I could not find good used tables at reasonable prices especially Brunswicks.

Thank you Mike!

I think 6-8k is optimistic, sorry. Especially if you have any sort of deadline looming in the 102 days or so.

I say put it on Craigslist for 4k and fleabay for 4,750 Be clear about removal terms and first cash takes table.

Super nice table. Not sure I've ever seen a non-new GC with trim that looks that good.

I believe I got 2.5 for my gc4 3yrs ago. Not in shape like yours.

What was done to it 20 years ago? Some features indicate it is a Gold Crown I but the GCI never came with piano black rails and aprons. It looks like all the metal work was chrome plated too.

Wow, that is one beautiful table. I love my Diamond Professional, but would be extremely proud to have that table also. Problem is if someone knows you are moving and have to get rid of it, maybe a tough sell for what's its actually worth. That and it's a 9' table, only so many people have room for something like that. I really like that table.

Correct, It was taken apart and completely refinished by a pro in 3 coats of black laquer and all legs, pockets, ball return/holder and logo chrome plated. It is truly in exceptional shape (almost one of a kind?). The felt is SIMONIS too BTW & speed rails in excellent shape (FWIW). ;o)

So was the Formica replaced on the rails or was the existing Formica painted over?

Another way to look at it, you basically modified a GC2 to look like a factory optioned black color option GC3. The price of yours should not be more than what a black GC3 costs, because that came with gloss formica rails and chrome plating from the factory. Those tables don't go for more than 4k range, from what I recall. They are about the highest priced used value on older GC's, because that black finish was quite rare and looks amazing.

3k tops. Probably 2k. It's a GC2 with painted rails. The painting may even lower the value, even though in the pictures it looks great.

Gold Crown I most likely.

Location is everything, and there is a precarious balance of supply and demand. Most important factor for you is whether pool is waxing or waning in your area. Find a local who knows.

I am definitely a buyer for exactly what you are selling but distance and logistics rule you out for me.

Can you walk me through what was done to the rails? They came from the factory with Formica. Was it removed? If so, what was it replaced with?
Sorry I cannot but it must have been stripped off (the side rails are a gorgeous black furniture grade lacquer!). This was all done by a local pro so by the time I came by to see the table, it was already in its final state.

Mine was black and to me, the black wasn't great...showed every scratch.

Didn't bug me as much as the damn black granite in my kitchen, but.

Knox, to biloxville is 8 hr. A 20 hr car trip split over a couple days is not too bad for a table that is likely to outlive you.

I'd also think a reputable mechanic would do the pickup and install for a couple thou.
