I bought this Schon about 4 years ago and have not seen anymore with a black buttcap and was wanting to know if it is a Runde era cue. Thanks Leonard

This almost definitely looks like a mid 80's Schon. You got a keeper there. Made by Bob Runde.

The points are not exactly what I would call sharp as the tips are slightly rounded over. picture finially worked in next post-- Leonard

Can we see a picture of the pin? A Schon can still be a Runde era Schon with rounded points. I believe they used a pantagraph to make points as well as spliced throughout this era (maybe not the 1st 2-3 years, but after that, yes).

You can Email Evan Clark @ info@schoncues.com he can tell you the model number of the cue and when it was made. Make sure you paste the picture to the email and not send a attachment. He will not open it.

i do not think this is a runde era schon.. many schons come with the black butt cap.. i think it depends on when they are making a specific model.. the sometimes come with both..

look through the pics of the stl model line.. you will see probably atleast 5 cues with black buttcaps.. i used to have a few of them, but mine all had the white buttcap..
