Can anyone tell me about the DCC?

As far as the steak house, I think the casino's website says a new one is about to open.
I hope so, it was great years ago. Expensive but worth the price. Then it fell apart. Harris’s has had lots of management problems. Hopefully they lease the space out to a independent operator under their own management. That will be our best shot at good food there. The F&B dept at Harris’s sucks.

Many people who said the original place in Louisville, KY was better.

As you were not in middle of no where, food options were with in short walk, and people in Louisville treated you better.

The Casino don’t care you a captive audence.🤯

Well, I just made my hotel reservation. Staying at the casino itself. $122/night with no resort fees as advertised, although I had to send an email through the DCC webpage to get a proper link--going to the Caesar's website myself gave me inflated prices (over $180/night plus resort fees). They also told me that if I got daily VIP passes I should be fine to watch the bigfoot, so that's what I will do. I'll be there Fri - Tues, so should be able to catch banks and 1P action, as well. Hopefully I can play some, but I'd be a small stakes gambler (unless the other guy is really bad) so that sounds iffy.

Can't wait!

I know this is against what most people want to do, but I've done it and I think it works out nicely.
There are many reasons, could be cost, lower staff, high waiting times, wanting exactly what you want to eat, etc.

You can cook most of what you want in a room with minimal supplies. A trip 20 mins down the road with a cooler, will get you some really nice dinners.

Remembering being in a nice town in Utah, but off season. Had steak, shrimp, salads, Mexican, pretty much everything and it was convenient as well as inexpensive.

Pretty sure that Filipinos do this in their rooms and eat very well.

(snip) ... I will have a car. I'll search New Albany and Louisville for things to do if I want to get away for a morning or afternoon.

Here's places I've been to in Louisville in years past and liked:

Joe's Crab Shack
Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse
Louisville Billiards Club

Oh, oh, oh ... I'll gambol with you.

Haven't played for money in 50+ years. You said you're a C+ player and I was rated a B- player a few years ago at Sacramento, CA Hard Times at my best. Had a stroke in April (that affected my dominate side) and now "really" bad.

By then I hope to improve enough to not embarrass myself in action again.
