The name "Radial" is a registered trademark of Uniloc. So, as explained above, when you talk about a Radial pin, that's it - a Uniloc Radial pin. The exact size of the Radial pin is 3/8 - 7.62 tpi (3 threads per cm). However, there is a knock-off pin that to the naked eye looks exactly the same as the Radial. This knock-off is often called a 3/8-8 Ball. While it might seem that there's not much difference between 7.62 and 8, the difference is actually huge. If a knock-off threaded 3/8-8 shaft is screwed onto a genuine Uniloc Radial pin, it will go on with some difficulty which the player might just think is a tight fit. In actuality, the wooden threads inside the shaft are being mangled to accommodate the pin. Something will eventually fail, most likely a cracked shaft or shredded threads.
You don't have to be concerned about Jacoby doing anything wrong - they definitely know what they're doing. I'm just passing the info along for future reference.
