Can custom inlays be made

I have designed a new cue to be made sometime in the near future but it has custom inlays. Meaning not your standard notched diamond type of fare. I am looking at Abalone quarter moons. I think I spelled that right. Anyway can these be made if I submit a cue or am I going to be told these do not exist and it can't be done.

Quater moons (quarter moons) - also known as crescent moons - are available through many luthier supply houses. Custom sizing could also be done, the only limitation being the size of the inlay in relation to its location on the cue. Pricing should be comparable to any other inlay of like size, complexity and material.

Moon Inlays

Hi,

If you submit your design to our shop we can quote you for your cue and the design work that needs to be performed on the CNC Cad/Cam software.

To make the process as cost effective as possible you must supply us with a drawing of the inlay(s) and how you want then orientated on the cue. You must also describe the cue materials, woods, rings, joints, butts and handle requirements.

For our shop to do this we would require a $ 150.00 deposit for doing the artwork and layout for this application. We would submit you with a proof of the work and if you approve of the spec., we could build the cue for you.

We never take down payments for cues we build because we control the design. For cues with abstract designs like yours, we would have to require 50% down to take the order.

Yes. With CNC, virtually any inlay shape can be done; within the limits of the materials.

Like this abalone on ivory, for example.
