Practicing on tight tables affects play on loose tables?
I feel the secret to improved play is to practice on tables that are slightly tighter than the tables on which you want to play your best, however if there is a significant difference in "tightness" between the 2, then that could be harmful. The other factor that is in play is how polished the balls are in the 2 settings...big difference in how polished balls react to English as opposed to dirty (less polished) balls.
