Can someone explain the price gouging business model?

Pred does a phenomenal marketing campaign for their products.
As the saying goes... There's a seat for every butt!
If you don't like the show, move along, Someone will certainly fill it.

No its not business, its scalping. Obviously people pay that much and thats why people do it but its fucked up in my opinion. The same with people who buy concert or event tickets just to resell.
Supply and demand....I wouldn't buy one, but if somebody else will then there's a market.

"Price is what you pay. Value is what you get." -Warren Buffett

In the long term, price tends to converge to value. In the short term, all bets are off.

Marketing departments and social media power-users are adept at pushing prices well above value in the short term. Hype can strongly affect price, but it doesn't affect value at all. Eventually, there will be a different "flavor of the month" among production cue enthusiasts, and the prices of previous crowd favorite production cues will likely fall until those prices are aligned with their respective values.

"Be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful." -also Warren Buffett.
