Originaly posted by ManlyShot Bazarus, that is very sad. The U.S. Open has been in existence for many years as a main event. Other than scheduling a tournament at the same time as the Open, there isn't too much the UPA can do to thwart its success. To ask its members not to particiate in the form of a boycott of a major tournament such as the Open seems harsh.

The UPA didn't ask me to boycott & not to participate in US Open, they said: "IF WE DECIDE TO BOYCOTT THE US OPEN THAN YOU CANNOT PLAY THERE". That would pretty much mean, that non of the UPA players would be able to participate in the open, I am not sure how many players are in UPA, but I know that most of the top players are there except for Strickland and Duel. So far they didn't inform me or anyone else that I know of such a boycott, so I am going to play in the open. Actually I'm going to play anyway
