Not the same tables. Pretty sure the OP's table is of fairly recent(last 20-30yrs) construction. That nameplate is not from a antique model. Nice home table. Probably worth $1,000-ish.

The table is not junk for sure, but not an antique. Looks like a decent Brunswick made in the last 20 years that's just been rode hard and put up wet. The ebay table is whole different animal.

Basically it's a pool table in a rental building I'm thinking of moving into. Supposedly rarely used by other tenants. I've gotten spooked from other posters here on how if it isn't a Gold Crown or a Diamond you're wasting your time. I just want to know if practicing on this as my main table is going to be good or bad. I prefer having the table in my building but if it isn't good, I'd rather move near a pool hall, since there is another neighborhood I'm looking at that is next to a hall. However then I pay a lot and I have to play only certain hours (eg no mornings).
Thoughts?

I'd use it if its already there. Might put fresh cloth if it needs it.
The table is a Brunswick Briarwood. It looks like Brunswick has discontinued it, but you can find some new ones available from distributors. It was listed on Brunswick's site in 2001. (There is an amazing archive site that tries to capture the entire internet forever, and they had a copy of the pages from Brunswick back then which is when the Brunswick website started.).
Brunswick also made a "Brairwood 4" which appears to be a low-end home table. This is confusing to searches.
Here's a sale from six years ago. Probably a solid table, but I wouldn't pay $3k used unless I was going for that furniture look and I can't imagine paying $10k new.

It's rarely used so the cloth is probably near new. Spills would be my major concern. If the OP brushes/vacuums it and cleans the balls I'm sure it will be fine. If the OP gets serious, maybe he could talk the management into recovering. But if the OP gets serious, I think he'll be a lot better off in NYC pool halls where there are lots of serious players.
It's going to be fine. You may have to do your own cleaning. If you're about the only player, just brushing each week will do it. If your hands start getting dirty from chalk in the cloth, vacuum.
