Can you help me find my ideal cue?

I only have three requirements (but apparently they’re not easy to satisfy):

1. Not too expensive. Maybe $250 max.
2. 3/8 x 10 pin. I have too many shafts to bend on this requirement.
3. Has a well matched extension. One that screws on and extends the cue by at least eight inches.

Does this cue exist? I went to a well known distributor and they did not have anything that came close.

Couldn't Schmelke do something for you?
They seem to be pretty flexible when it comes to stuff like this.

Oops, didn't see that above there

Not sure if you have any local cue builders but I've bought a couple of great hitting sneaky petes close to that price range...one was a little lower right at $200 and it was an old house cue conversion with 3/8 10 pin and a custom shaft...the points weren't all even or anything but it hit great! The other was $300 and I'm pretty sure it was built from a full splice blank, the points were nice and even and there was a little more figure in the handle wood...I'm sure a matching extension could of been added on pretty cheap to either cue...talk to the guys in your local pool room and see if there is anyone around that builds cues...in my opinion it can be a great bang for the buck!

Schmelke offers a lot of cue for the money.
I played with a $100 Schmelke once.Just a plain jane Bacote cue.
Did it look like a $100 cue? Yes.
Did it play like a $100 cue? No.
It played very good, better then it should have at that price.
