Can you hit the contact point consistenly w/out science or system ?

IMO, all you need is a cue, 2 arms, functioning eyes and at least a half-functioning brain and you can consistently hit the contact point.

Is it possible or you need a system or science ?

wouldn't "consistently" imply that there's a system at work, regardless of whether the shooter is fully conscious of it or not (or how detailed the system itself is... I mean, it could be something incredibly simple)?

Maybe its not can you hit the contact point rather than do you no how to approach the contact point.Just because someone see's the contact point or can deliver the cb there dosnt mean anything, not really.
Also i really feel some one the great players dont see contact points, they see the picture of the shot.Everything as one.

I see pros looking at contact point when shooting combos often.
And when they miss, the term " he took his eye off the ball " comes out often.

I agree on what your saying but what im saying is there's a little more that needs to be going on then just seeing the contact point.

Yes.

I am 'system-less', and I can run three balls in a row. Sometimes more.

Sure. Millions of people are proficient at pocketing balls without any real conscious thought and have been doing so for probably hundreds of years before the commonly accepted meaning for the term "system" was ever applied to pool.

Now I'm sure everyone who has ever been capable of consistantly running a number of balls in succession have developed some sort of "method" in which they approach the process. You can't do anything consistently without some amount of consistency. ;)
