Carbide Mandrels

Perry from Cuefits just replied back to me stating that the 3/8-10 modified sanding mandrels have a taper rate of 0.01"up/down.

So they do have a taper. At least the 3/8-10 modified ones do.

You won't know until you get them and measure, what it he giving you for a measure or margin of error

Always measure it yourself, north china doesn't make the same size shoes or clothing as south china, and i have measure stell , aluminum, custom made parts not always the same quality.

Just ordered mine so we'll see and I'll keep this updated.

What size mandrel is everyoen using? I want to get an average opinion. I'm leaning more towards a thicker joint. What's everyone final taper size at the butt joint? and at the butt cap before finishing. I'd like some information please. I'd appreciate it.
.840 is most popular with larger USA makers, with .850 close second especially among smaller cuemakers. But world wide .842 has become the most popular.
