carbon cue

Cuetec circa 2015, he's a timetraveler. With all the attachments Earl is sticking onto his body, I can very well see him with that cue. Thing must feel like hitting with a metal rod though, you probably need the cork to keep your finger joints from turning into poweder after a few games.

Nice job on making that thing, takes some know-how to machine all that.

No it does not hit like an Iron rod. The cork is only to bring the grip diameter up to a comfortable size. With the back end being only .750 inches , you have to hold your hand too closed to get a nice stroke.I chose cork , as it is laminated with an interference fit , and could then get a controlled join to the graphite rod. If the cork or any other material is not truely solid on the cue, A noise is generated. Sometimes depending on the nature of the cause , it can only be a sound that annoys you ,or a tink that effetcs the shot.

Well it's definitely interesting. I guess if you lose your roll gambling, you can always go out and catch supper :p .

Good luck with the sales.

pls. post a vid of you playing with this cue. it's hard to believe anyone could shoot with that thing.

Don't like the look of it at all, but in terms of thinking out of the box, you are a winner! I like the fact that you are questioning the norm. I think it would be even wilder if you wrapped it in custom rod fashion like some of Jack Justis' stuff. I don't think it will ever become the mainstream cue, but very interesting. You could probably make another end fitting for two cues, turn it upside down and use them as ski poles, walking canes, etc.! I don't think you will see a Chinese knock-off any time soon.
