If cf sucks so much, why would you want it banned? If we're using crappy shafts, Wouldn't that mean you'd beat us easily? Go take some cf shaft users' money! Allison and kelly fisher both use them.
The OP managed to get himself banned by being very obnoxious. He did enjoy posting. For a while. What he said usually didn't make any sense.
Really how do you predict future? Do you do well at picking lotto numbers.
Adding fad until the next great invention bring hyped.

Hard to believe this topic generates so much passion & drama… this thread alone 21 pages and it seems to come up over & over… I wonder if bike, tennis, golf, boating, car enthusiast forums etc have these same weird types of hyper emotional “debates”…
People would rather type on keys, verses play Pool.
Truth is most Top players would still be good at game with house Cue.

Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than beating some "carbon fiber-wielding wannabe" with my wood shaft.
If it's good enough for the world's best overall player- Josh Filler- it's good enough for me.
I don’t have a religion on wood/CF, both are great & fine by me & I find the never ending debate to be hilarious. But don’t you think plenty of folks could say the same as you, citing SVB, Gorst or many of the other pros who play CF?

SVB and Gorst aren't cf-wannabes. They're paid quite well to use cf. I'm talking about the amateurs who think cf is going to revolutionize their game and that they're god's gift because they own a cf shaft lol. Those "wannabes".
I own a revo shaft btw. Tried it for 6 months and went back to ld wood. The revo is on my break-stick where it belongs.

Sure, roger that. But the wanna-be phenomenon applies to all cool gadgets & widgets, right? LD wood shafts, retractable chalk holders, 9ball key fobs, Hustlin t-shirts… The see & be seen poser factor is not unique to pool, same thing exists in pretty much all sports, hobbies etc. Noob tennis players with fat gear bags of high end racquets, mountain bikers in the neighborhood park with $5k Santa Cruz soft tails, pink fluffy outfit skiiers jamming up the lift chairs… its just life.
In the big picture, anything that brings more folks & retail $$ into our sport is probably a good thing.

I said I just enjoy beating chest-puffing SVB wannabes. You know the type: Ultimate Gear shirt, big watch, gold necklace, earrings, molanari glove, $600 leather-tooled case, BK rush break cue, Air jump cue, been a fargo 500ish level his whole life, etc... I'll just grab a house cue off the wall and beat them with my opposite hand. Ah, good times indeed!
I'm what you call an "ego-adjuster", I re-align over-inflated egos. I also teach/mentor the modest players.
Met my wife 27 years ago beating up on military kids at a bar near our local base btw. Could hold the bar table all night. Fun times indeed!

You sound like a real world beater. Hey, I use an Air 2. And funny enough I was a navy guy that used to mostly torture the locals and keep my buddies in free pitchers of beer all night. But that was a long time ago (some things haven’t changed)…

I purchased CF shafts because I like them better than wood. I love how silky smooth they are and the feel vs my wood cues. My main cue and break cue are both predators with Revo shafts. I gifted my Pechauer to a buddy who can't afford a cue that expensive.
