CARBON SHAFT AND TALCUM POWDER

Dear all,

Any of you playing for a carbon fiber shaft without a glove and using talcum powder?
Are there any problems with that?

My hands sweat but I hate using a glove. So please do not write comments like "just get used to a glove" or "Just wash your hands more often".

Thank you in advance :).

Best regards,

Rafael

PS: I know that the manufactures often write "do not use talcum with a carbon fiber shaft"

I've by accident had powder on my hands and it takes away the smoothness when you are using powered on a CF shaft. It almost makes it feel dirty.

I don't like gloves myself and my hands really don't sweat, But i carry a towel with me just in case.

All manufact. that i know of do not recommend it. If you fk up the finish its on you. Might be glove time. Seen those 'un glove' finger things? Might try them.

Yes, but how is it different than using „Masters“ chalk? I guess this stuff is also abrasive.
You don't put masters directly on your hand, do ya?

While the two substances may be similar, their application is very different.

I was anti glove for a long time but I am on board now. It truly is an improvement.

Or you could get one of those sleeve/tube things that fit over the shaft. They've been discussed a couple of times recently.
here is one

I remember the first time I smoked acid too!!
You don't smoke acid, you eat it on mushrooms, but a lot of people in that room had been smoking something and it wasn't pot.

The second time I saw rain blowing horizontally across a table it was in a world championship (1976, Asbury Park), and I don't think I was on anything other than coffee at the time.

Out of the car, longhair.

Talcum powder also screws up the cloth and balls.

i sometimes think fondly of the times when talcum powder and cigarettes was accepted in pool rooms. because i used both myself. but much as with cigarettes, when you don't use it yourself, powder can be quite annoying

here is one
Been looking for this since saw Corey use one.

I actually thought it a hard tube, not spandex. Now, I'm wondering how long one lasts.
