Carl won 1 match and lost another THREE matches on the hill. If he had one just ONE of these he would have qualified! :eek:

I've not heard of him - is he an "English 8-baller"?

Lot's of hard luck stories. George Breedlove (one of my favorites) was just eliminated in the second round with THREE wins, including 2 wins against the 2 players he was tied with - they both advanced, he didn't (small diff in winning percentage). The crazy thing is this same thing happened to him in Vegas. I guess every game IS important. I will confess that I would prefer head-to-head performance as the first tie-breaker.

Agree head to head really should be the FIRST tie breaker.
 
Thats a nightmare, Craig. Mr Morris has done very well to date. I spent some time at his house so he could try out some cues. He has a Diamond table installed with tight pockets but it plays beautifully.

Hi Si, in the UK owrking in Notts, just had a few months off from pool to concentrate on some other stuff. I'm off to Euro Tour in Holland and Swiss in a few weeks though and maybe the EPT event in Oct so hopefully see you at one of those. I didnt realise Carl was from Stoke not far from here I think?

Didn't know you were still lurking in the UK! Can't make Holland as there is a UK tour event same weekend. A few of my boys are going, Sy Widlo, Mark Stephenson and lots of the Manchester lads.

Yes Carl is just round the corner from you. Good IPT practice if you need it. His house is like a stately home! Whats really class is he has video cameras on the table so he can record matches and practice play.....Thats gotta help! Good luck in Holland.

If you ever need a fancy cue, I am only 80 miles away in Leeds.
