Carlo Biado is World #1

- I asked my question again and also asked why Shane should have gone to an event where there were small odds of winning, when he had better odds to win the USBTC.

kinda reminds me of Floyd Mayweather and his 5-year-struggle with the Pacquaio match that's finally happening.

The differance is Floyd is recognized as the best pound for pound boxer in the world and is undefeated ,,

Somehow Mika, Dazz, Rodney, etc from the U.S attends these international tournaments, but for Shane, it's always the not cost effective excuse. Top 16 prize was 5K at the world tournament, about same for what Shane won on the 9b 1st prize at USBTC.

As much as I'm not a Shane huger he gets a flyer from me on this one can't blame him for having loyalties to CSI

I never mentioned anything about a winning at an unprofessional event.

AHA MOMENT! People do, but I didn't. So get off my nuts about Carlo Biado.

Why should we rank the players at all? Pool does not have a governing body.

Does a player have to win a certain association's event to be recognized as a professional? If that's the way you think, then there are a lot of players that shouldn't be considered professional.

You know you are posting all of your comments in a thread about Carlo Biado right?

You compared Carlo's #1 ranking to an APA 2 being #1 in points in some local league.

I have stated over and over that strength of field should determine whether someone is a professional or not because their skills dictate where they finish. You are not a pro because you win your local APA Top Gun tournament in the 4's and 5's bracket.

I think these WPA wanks should reinstate the 2 shot rollout if they want to keep alternating break events.

Ducking fast here.

You sure are a special one... This thread could have been about skittles. What arps and I got into it about had nothing to do with Biado. You seem to be the only one that is still lingering on arguing about a topic you jumped in by stating:

How much did Shane win at the USBTC? Ko Pin Yi pocketed 40k for his win. Purely from a money stand point, Shane should have been in the Phillipines.

You still don't seem to understand anything.

Did I say I was a pro? No. So why say something like that? Do you think you are above me, because I play in the APA weekly? I don't recall boasting about my pool playing abilities in this thread.

If you want to argue about arbitrary crap, go to facebook.

Exactly...

I don't think this one had anything to do with the ease or difficulty of winning OR the expense... This had to do with loyalty to CSI...

I'm guessing that he was also acting in protest of the poor standard of refereeing at the previous 10-ball event he played in. While I don't disagree with Shane on that point, I don't think his absence was really felt.
