Most of the carom shafts I've seen have a constant taper down to a tip around 11-12mm. I recently tried the new OB Classic Pro shaft (11.75mm tip) and due to OB's radial ply construction, the stiffness is great for hard hit shots AND still the right size tip for applying english! F.Y.I.
