Forgive if I may, but there was a thread or a site that had parts for the electric heat in a foreign website (Dutch I think). Can any of you tell me which website is it?

I was looking at it myself, but they do say:

Van Ooy Billiard Supplies is an exclusive dealer for billiard trading companies and does not deliver products to private customers, billiard rooms or caf??s.

Thanks, Eze! Dead-on bullseye!

Keep up with your carom there....

Are you going to contact them? Let us know if you get anywhere as far as being able to order from them. I haven't tried, based on that note on the main page.

Well, it's just a thought, though, because there is this owner who has a blanked out (meaning no rails just base and slate) 4x8 carom table which he told me that he's not selling but would in the future for only $800 or so. And as I read though some posts on Carom, I also notticed that the cushions were very different from the regular "Brunswick" (or like what is here where I live: Olhausen) cushions. I am going to look more thoroughly on European Cushions and the heating element as well. I have to research all this, before I try to persuade this pool operator/owner into getting the carom table.

I have 3 sets of new artemis p37 carom rubber for 5x10 tables.
i have them for $300 a set plus shipping and i am in san diego.
this rubber is used on soren sogards carom tables and others as well.
your choices for carom rubber are artemis or kleber rubber.;)

Thankyou, that is an interesting site, getting good cushions for a carom table is quite a problem here in the US. Vielen Dank

Anybody know what the issues might be with trying to convert all the 220V European stuff to American?

Hi SlickRick_PCS,

maybe you can order here:

It's a German dealer and they deliver to private customers but I'm not sure if they deliver to the US. Actually it should be no problem.

This is a great read, 3cPlayer. Thanks loads. It's just a thought right now, so I'm just doing my research and then perhaps in the future, I'll put thought about getting that carom table.

There was a pretty good thread on the issues involved with trying to post-factory install a heating system.
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=56404&highlight=silicone

I've been looking into it for awhile, and never been really sure how good it will actually work, especially as far as evenness of heating. I've been making up for it by keeping it really clean and using a little silicone on the cloth, kind of like 3kushn talks about in that thread. Been working really well for me. I found I really don't need to make any adjustments when I go play on a heated table.
Also, a filthy, heated Verhoeven ain't all that fast.

So, Rick, you looking to just play the small games on it or 3C? An 8 ft. can make you look pretty good with 3C. :) Are you buying this for yourself, or trying to convince a room owner to get it?

Just wondering if anyone have talk with CAROM CAFE or NEW WAVE Billiard about this issue and what they have to say?

I have a Louis Van Laere 2 Meter table, Long cushion measures slightly over 84", would your cushions match and are they the fastest? Thankyou, Strokeone

TO: EZ 123 Assuming you have a 220VAC European Heater, get a 2:1 transformer to double 110VAC to 220VAC. Watch the wattage rating on the transformer, it should equal or exceed the heater wattage.

Wow, it's been a while since you posted this message, EZE, (before my birthday and all... I guess that's working two jobs for ya :)).

About your reply, EZE, I am going for both! What small games is to 14.1 continous is to pool is what Three-Cushion billiards is to 9-Ball in pool. It's just the way I see things in billiards.

As far as wanting to buy the table from this gentleman: I am really wanting to push into getting something like what this person has (4'x8' with no electronic heating system in it, bad aim points [diamond spots since you really can't seem them with the bad lighting and all] and fading wood for $800) so that I could buy parts from Europe and try to my best of knowlege into building it up nicely. Even so, if that would to never exist, spending a few grand to make one myself would definately not be out of the question. But first, I will need a carom cue (Kilby is what I have in mind) and then I will highly look into the long run for planning the carom table and making self-debates about it. ;)

Gabriels has a heater control unit set for 110, call Paul at Diamond and ask him about it.

Paul who? At Diamond? The pool table company or something else?
