i doubt it. A 150 pound couch leaves marks ..dont now how you would avoid it on a 1000 pound table

Yes there is, there have been posts and pictures of a home made item. Think a circle of plywood and roofing nails.

Under where the feet will be, you can make a small slit in the carpet so the feet sit on the floor beneath the carpet (which also makes it easier to level the table). If you move the table later, there are several methods of repairing the slits.
