Cars / Cues in Avatars, is it yours?

My favorite was now deceased Bill, username hemicuda with his 1970 cuda, one of the finest muscle cars ever built.

He also helped me with some advice about force follow shots. Another great member who is no longer with us.

Yep...another who misses Bill. I enjoyed his posts.

That is me in my avatar. The cue is is mine. The table is not. The action on the cue ball is created with some super secret cue technique I like to call GIF:D

Caught and released the bull shark in my avatar. Matagorda TX beachfront good times! Camping, fishing, fire, and beer on the beach. There is nothing like it! Can't wait for summer!

I own the record in my avatar. My girlfriend and I were out record shopping and she spotted it and grabbed it for me, seeing that Cash has a cue in his hand on the cover she figured whether it was a good album or not it would be fun to have. Can't say it's JC's finest work, but hey.

I've owned a few Ginacues in my day, and the one in my avatar is definitely one of my all time favorites.

Just curious, how many of you own the cue(s) and/or cars you use in your avatar pics? Is there a story you want to share about how you got it/fixed it up?

I won't bother asking about the ones that use sexy girls/guys as avatars, I'm sure if you used a picture of your mate on here half naked it won't say up long and you'll be walking around with a bruise for a while LOL

In my heyday of collecting, I had a number of Model 20 Palmer's. Because of the ebony inlaid shaft, Willie Mosconi was quoted as saying that playing with the model 20 looked like stroking into a mirror. So I decided to set up the avatar photo with that reflected mirror look. I used software to frame it and enhance the lighting. It was fun to do.

Chris,

Do I understand correctly that Willie actually played in competition with his Model 20? Didn't follow him when I was young so I had no idea.

No Lyn. He was largely a Brunswick sponsored player and I believe he used a Rambow for most of his career.

Palmer made quite a few cues with his name on it. It was a form of sponsorship. They would give him a cue now and then which he would sell for extra cash.Willie was pretty much done with the tournament circuit by the time Palmer introduced their 2nd catalog.

i took a self portrait. thats me after i dogged it off again, leaving the pool room but happy to be going home.
