Casanova Cues???? HELP!

Does anyone know anything about Casanova Cues made by Paul Casanova in Southern California? Someone wants to trade one of Paul's cues with me but I have no use for it and don't know its value (it looks expensive), so it's hard to say yes but it's nice looking. It's an 8 pointer (all very sharp) into ebony forearm; ivory color buttsleeve w/8 nice ebony inlays; black leather wrap; fancy rings; about 19oz; 2 -shafts (1 w/ivory ferrule) - dinged up a bit but straight. I don't mind doing the trade if I could turn it quickly so I need your help.

Any information would be appreciated. I will be able to post pictures over the weekend but I don't have the cue in my possession at this time.

If anyone might be interested in the cue, just pm me - I promise the price will be right once I know what it's worth. It would make someone a very nice Christmas gift!

Paul Casanova learned cuemaking from Judd Fuller.
He favored using 3/8 10 pin instead of Judd's flatface 5/16 14 .
Paul's cues are mostly fancy as he had a pantograph/mill when he started.
He later sold that panto to Judd when he switched to CNC.
Paul did not make cues for money. He's a wealthy man who loved art and he wanted to create artful cues.
He has slowed down a bit in making cues since he bought a property in Italy. Where I heard he spends half of the year in.
Somehow his cues just did not quite hit as well as Judd's cues. They had stiff shafts but the butts seemed thin/soft.
It's really hard to set a value on his cues. He sold a lot of them to friends and co-leagues at great prices. He even made on for Robin Bell. Local tournament director at Danny K's, former pro Wayne Norcross, plays with a Casanova.

Thanks Joey (& thediamond, too). This cue appears to have the 5/16 14 flat-face pin/joint so maybe it's one of his early ones? I think the guy that's trading played w/him in a league so everything you said makes sense. If Judd made this cue I know the cost would be $1200 or more, maybe as much as $1500/$1600. If I trade for the cue, I could offer it for $400 including shipping. Should I do it?
